Questions? Do you have a question about Simplex or building a new home? Contact us here…..

  1. Hi, my builder gave me your website address and I’ve been doing some homework. We are looking to build a two story traditional home. It was our plan to go with on site construction, stick built construction. My builder told me I should take a look at you guys and what Simplex can do. My question is what makes modular construction better than stick built homes and why use Simplex?

Answer by David Boniello, Vice President of Manufacturing and Development

A. Thank you for your question. There are a number of reasons modular construction is a superior building method. I’ll touch on just a few here but please feel free to ask your builder additional questions, or to contact us at our toll-free number 1-800-233-4233 for literature and information on Simplex.

Why use Modular Construction and why use Simplex?

The quick answer is Simplex allows you to completely custom design your new home, to have it built with superior materials by highly experienced craftsmen utilizing building techniques that simply make sense – and to work with a company with almost 40 years of expertise and unsurpassed financial strength.

That’s why some of the nation’s most sophisticated architects and builders can be found visiting our facility each day to monitor the status of Simplex homes we are building for their customers. Here are a few more details on seven ways Simplex stands out:

  1. Would you leave you car outside in the rain or snow and allow it to get soaked? Of course not. Why then would you leave your home, often for up to a year, unprotected while it is built on your building site? That’s a core argument for modular home construction. At Simplex Industries, our homes are built inside climate controlled state of the art facilities. Your home is not venerable to rain and snow which can cause damage or even warping of unprotected walls and flooring. Also, the Simplex craftsmen who build your home are measuring, cutting, trimming, painting and finishing your home while inside our indoor facility. It stands to reason they will do a better job than those workers who are forced to work outside in high temperatures or even rain, snow or freezing weather.
  1. Simplex Modular Homes use construction methods that are far superior to methods used in stick built homes. For example, let’s use ceiling construction as an example. Walk through any newly constructed stick built home and you will see nail pops in many of the ceilings. That’s because onsite construction methods are chosen to be quick – not necessarily the best possible method for your new home. Because we build in climate controlled facilities, we can take the extra time to use a proprietary method featuring a high tech foam adhesive to bond dry wall to the ceiling – there are no metal fasteners used. This means you will not see nail pops in a Simplex built home.
  1. At Simplex we are also one of the few construction firms to feature an in-house stair shop. This means the stairs built for each Simplex home are custom built to be an exact fit for your dream home. Our master craftsmen in our stair shop can design stairs that will meet your local builder’s or your architect’s exact specifications – a better fit means the stairs will not only look great, but be long lasting and a centerpiece for your new home.
  1. Simplex utilizes better building materials and better components. Local small builders simply cannot match Simplex’s unsurpassed buying power when it comes time to purchase lumber, cabinetry and name brand fixtures for your new home. A good local builder might build a few dozen homes per year in a good year. Using, highly trained workers (many who have been with us for decades) and two state of the art indoor construction facilities, Simplex is one of the busiest builders in the nation. We build single family homes, duplexes, town homes, hospitals, commercial buildings, professional practices and countless other types of structures. Our customers range from people just like you to some of the most sophisticated builders and architects in the nation.
  1. It’s a sad fact that many homeowners each year find themselves victim to unscrupulous builders or builders without the financial resources to actually complete homes. Simplex is a nationally recognized superior builder. As an industry leader and one of the busiest such builders in the nation, Simplex’s finances are beyond question.
  1. No one can match Simplex for quality of construction. We have a track record of superior construction that is approaching four decades of experience and expertise. Simplex has been honored by national magazines and other media covering the construction industry for our unsurpassed standards and capabilities.
  1. Financing. Simplex is one of the few builders in the nation to offer you aggressive in-house financing through our subsidiary Simplex Mortgage. We can not only help you first design and then build your new home, we can help you finance it.

I could go on and on. The best way to understand why Modular building and Simplex is the way to go is to spend time on our website and time with your local builder who is part of our national building network. We welcome any questions you may have and urge you to contact us at any time with specific questions or to discuss building your dream home.
